Audrey Lucille DePauw, age 95, of Luverne, died Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills.
Audrey was born April 5, 1929, in Chester, South Dakota, to Richard and Eunice (Farrand) Jones.
Audrey married Lorain DePauw on April 5, 1947, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne. Audrey worked as a cook at the Luverne Elementary School for over twenty years before retiring in 1988.
She was a faithful member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne, where she volunteered. She was also a member of the Luverne VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Audrey is survived by her three daughters, Pat (Bruce) Koglin, Duluth, Cheryl (Alan) Enger, Harrisburg, South Dakota, and Barb (Gary) Haraldson, Fairbanks, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Chad (Becky) Haraldson, Tim (Griselda) Fairbanks, Molly Haraldson, Carrie (Tim) Hershbach, Amy (Brett) Brisk, Kristie (fiancé, Jon Sundermann) Lovro and Scott Fairbanks; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Hagen, New York; and two sisters, Judy (Ernie) Niemann, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Patricia Niemann, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lorain, on May 1, 2015; and six brothers.
A funeral Mass was at 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne, officiated by Monsignor Gerald Kosse. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery in Luverne.
Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Tuff Memorial Home in Hills, the Luverne VFW or the Alzheimer’s Association.
