Alan L. “Al” Stroh, 68, Luverne, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center.
A funeral service was  Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Luverne. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Luverne.
Alan Stroh was born June 28, 1947, to Vernon and Gladys (McClure) Stroh in Luverne. Alan attended country school near Luverne. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Al married Sue Burnett on Sept. 26, 1970, in Luverne. The couple lived in Luverne where Al worked at IBP for over 41 years and at Gold’n Plump for over 12 years. He retired in 2013.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne and the Luverne VFW. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, attending their events and taking them fishing.
Al is survived by his wife, Sue Stroh, Luverne; a daughter, Tammy (Matt) Petty, Brandon, South Dakota; a son, Scott Stroh, Luverne; five grandchildren, Breanna (special friend Patrick Schmidt) Tofteland, Brittany Tofteland, Jacob Tofteland, Ayden Petty and Ashlyn Petty; a great-grandchild, Kyan Tofteland; a brother, Jim (Pat) Stroh, Luverne; and two sisters, Judy (Daryl) Reese, Worthington; and Carol (Dean) Brouwer, Lennox, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
