Windows shattered at Sterling's

Lead Summary
,

Todd Shank with Heartland Glass Co of Sioux Falls replaces the glass Monday in the Sterling’s Café and Grill entry after two windows were shattered sometime over the weekend, apparently by BBs or pellets. The damage was discovered at 8:10 p.m. Sunday. Glass in the east door and one large picture window each had a piercing hole that shattered the entire pane. Rock County investigator Jeff Wieneke indicated a BB or pellet gun was used to break the glass. No suspects are in custody at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Wieneke at 507-283-5000. A $200 reward is being offered for information leading to changes being filed.

A vandalism report was also filed Monday night from the Blue Mound Liquor Store on West Main Street Luverne. Windows were also damaged. Officials have not determined if the damages at Sterling’s and the liquor store are related.
