Veterans Day gifts of gratitude

Premium Minnesota Pork gave away 200 pork loins, weighing about 10 pounds each, to Rock County veterans in a drive-through distribution Nov. 11 near the Rock County History Center. Company officials made arrangements with local veterans’ organizations to offer the gifts as a way to thank veterans for their service. The gesture of generosity is not new for the pork processing company, which began operating in Luverne earlier this year. Last year the organization, owned by Lynch Livestock, gave away 850 pork loins to veterans in communities where it does business.
