USDA announces sign-up period for RCPP-CSP

The deadline for Resource Conservation Partnership Program – Conservation Stewardship Program applications to be considered for funding in fiscal year 2019 is Friday, June 21, 2019. This special RCPP-CSP sign-up is targeted for four partnership projects:
•Improving Working Lands for Monarch Butterflies.
•Agricultural Water Quality Certification.
•Camp Ripley Sentinel Landscape.
•Prairie Pothole Working Lands Partnership.
“The USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service partners with other conservation entities to benefit Minnesota landowners and resources. RCPP-CSP projects continue to be a very effective tool for private landowners to achieve their conservation and management goals,” said Troy Daniell, Minnesota NRCS state conservationist. “CSP is the largest conservation program in the United States with more than 70 million acres of productive agricultural and forest land enrolled. RCPP brings in valuable partners to provide additional assistance.”
While applications are accepted throughout the year, interested producers should submit applications to their local NRCS office by Friday, June 21, 2019, to ensure their applications are considered for 2019 funding.
