Rock County and most of Minnesota experienced a first round of winter weather Tuesday as temperatures lingered in the low 30s and steady precipitation dropped a mixture of snow and rain with only modest accumulations. While it was cold, it could have been worse. Much of central, northern and eastern parts of the state saw upwards of 4 inches of snow throughout the day.
