William Kent Krueger addressed about 50 people Wednesday afternoon, June 8, at the Rock County Community Library in Luverne. Krueger and his wife, Diane, visited several libraries within the Plum Creek Library System including Adrian. Krueger, a New York Times best-selling author, lives in St. Paul and is known for his Cork O’Connor mystery books. While in Luverne, Krueger talked about how stories encourage, enlighten and inspire readers. “I have come to believe stories are as vital to our life as breathing,” he said.

Two more authors will visit the library later this month. Patrick “Packy” Mader will visit June 23. He wrote the book “Minnesota Gold: Conversations with Northland Athletes Competing on the World Stage.” On June 25 Phil and Sandy Hamman will visit the library. The couple collaborated on the book, “Gitchie Girl: The Survivor’s Inside Story that Shocked the Heartland.”
