The Luverne Retail Marketing Group is joining the Thursday night schedule on the last Thursday of the month from May through August.
These businesses invite the community to come down to Main Street this summer to enjoy live music, food, other entertainment and special shopping offers as they connect with friends and neighbors.
“Bring your friends, family and neighbors downtown on Thursday, May 26,” said Luverne Area Chamber Director Jane Wildung Lanphere.
The event will be an opportunity to meet Luverne’s new mascots, “Thunder” and “Rumble.”
“They are Luverne’s bison mascots who will make a grand appearance at the Buffalo Days Parade,” Lanphere said. “They are going to be downtown from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 26 walking in and out of the businesses.”
She encourages people to take selfies with the mascot and post them on the Chamber’s Facebook page.
“Four lucky selfie photographers will receive $50 each,” Lanphere said.
Thunder and Rumble will provide more specific instructions Thursday night.
Lanphere said May 26 will be the first of several downtown Thursday night events.
“Wait to hear what we have in store for you in June,” she said.
