Local Optimists conduct bike rodeo in Luverne, Beaver Creek

Dozens of local bicyclists participated in the Luverne Optimist Club annual Bike Rodeo in Beaver Creek and Luverne Saturday, May 14.
In addition to Optimist Club volunteers, Ken Petersen of Ken’s Bike Shop, Luverne, was there to help make minor adjustments to bikes.
Helmets and door prizes were given to all participants at each location, plus two bikes and a scooter were given as prizes in drawings at the concluaion of the events.
In Beaver Creek Katlin Conners and Camron Allen won bikes in the drawing, and Penni Moore won a scooter.
In Luverne Marcos Diaz and Makayla Baker won bikes, and Harper Renken won a scooter.
Aanenson also visited the local elementary schools and spoke to students about bike safety.
