Winter Brothers Underground workers move 14-inch water pipelines into position for burial along 190th Avenue, four miles north of Magnolia in Vienna Township last week. The Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water project brings water from the Lewis and Clark water pipeline’s meter house in Magnolia to the planned LPRW water reservoirs north of Edgerton. Cost is estimated at $10 million.

Lewis and Clark makes north-south connection

Construction began in northeastern Rock County on a $10 million project to bring water from the Lewis and Clark water pipeline to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water pump station in Edgerton.

Installation of the 21-mile, 14-inch trunk line began in September and is expected to be in operation sometime in 2018.
