Hot Dog Night 2015 features dozens of attractions

Free hot dogs, wiener dog beauty contest and races, Wienerman Triathlon, live music, dance performances and more highlight 2015 event in Luverne

Nearly 15,000 free hot dogs were consumed Thursday night as part of Luverne's 53rd Annual Hot Dog Night.

The event included the annual wiener dog beauty contest and wiener dog races, as well as the annual Wienerman Triathlon and all the festive live music, Spotlight Dancers, demonstrations and other special attractions.

The overall winner of eating, running, biking and swimming challenge was Team Schlong Shots A out of Sioux Falls, with a time of 1:07:49.

Nine, four-person teams competed in male, female and co-ed categories.
