Demolition and development continues in Luverne

The city of Luverne’s efforts to remove blighted properties and replace them with development has become increasingly evident in recent months.
Luverne’s new business, Computer Clinic, is under construction on the lot north of the Laundry Room on Highway 75 near the Main Street intersection.
That lot at one time housed an abandoned, dilapidated property, which the city aquired and and demolished.
Computer Clinic is set to open later this year.
Other lots following suit around town are the Culligan building across the street and the Ramage house, which the city is in the process of acquiring for similar development.
Culligan has moved to the former Palace Video building on Main Street.
There are no plans yet for the McKenzie Street property recently demolished near Glen’s.
