Luverne preschool students enjoyed Monday’s warm spring weather by spending time in the Nature Outdoor Classroom learning how to camp. In addition to their exposure to nature, the students had a picnic, climbed around in a tent and helped assemble a beanpole dwelling. Pictured in the tent are (front, lying down) William Saarloos, (back, far left) Lydia Jarchow, (clockwise from lower left) Emma Cowell, Avalynn VanBelle, Krosby Sandbulte, Allison Beyer, Tenlee Pick, Mallorie Edstrom, Hayden Sauer, Elijah Lanoue, Graham Hartquist, Lucas Hein, Lucy Bose, Micah Barron and Marshal Hoff.
“Our theme this week is camping,” said Discovery Time Teacher Angie Janiszeski. “We planned literacy, language, math, science, art, social and large motor activities to go with the theme.”
