Busse Plumbing and Heating receives 2015 Terra-Therm Distinguished Dealer Award for Excellent Service
Busse Plumbing and Heating of Luverne received the 2015 distinguished dealer award from Terra-Therm, Inc. on Thursday, April 28.
Terra-Therm Inc., New Richland, recognizes five dealers throughout Minnesota for outstanding sales, excellent customer satisfaction, technical excellence and superior business practices.
Jim Remme purchased the business from Ken Busse in 2003 and began installing geothermal systems the same year.
“The nice thing about geothermal is you consistently produce happy customers when the systems are sized and installed correctly," said Remme, who has installed hundreds of systems. "There is no more efficient heating system available than geothermal.”
Once installed, the cost of a geothermal system is only the electrical cost required to run the heat pump.
“Three fourths of the heat you use to heat your home or shop comes from the earth and it’s free," Remme said.
"It just makes sense to use the free energy you already have available rather than go buy someone else’s. With the tax credits that are available through the end of this year combined with utility rebates, a geothermal system is often very close to the price of a less efficient conventional system.”
