Groen: Sharkee's was not a safe environment

To the Editor:
On August 4 you ran an article on Sharkee’s (which was condemned) and Dave Halverson pleading not having enough time to fix the problems. A long time while in operation, he didn’t care about the sewer problems, mold, food or lack of upkeep.
He had no pride of ownership. It’s all about the money. He sees in the newspaper how the City of Luverne is buying the eye-sores in Luverne and wants a piece of the pie.
He made no attempt to correct the situation, and I hope Luverne stands up to him and his lawyers and says, “You pay for the demolishing.”
P.S. Where does the building inspector come in? This is not a safe environment.
