Matthew 6 Board of Directors will meet at at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Pizza Ranch.
Battle Plain Township Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the home of Lloyd Prins.

Operation Christmas Child boxes available
Operation Christmas Child boxes have arrived in Luverne. Anyone wishing to send gifts to underprivileged children can pick one up at American Reformed Church south entrance where there will be more information about how to support a child for Christmas. Collection week is Nov. 14-21. Donors are encouraged to pay shipping online and track their boxes to a specific country. Go to samaritanpurse.org. One Warm Coat Project distributes coats Nov. 10
The Rock County One Warm Coat Project will be providing coats for anyone in need from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. The distribution location is ATLAS for Life, 201 East Main Street, Luverne. Call 283-9664.
 
Elementary students perform ‘Off Their Rockers’ Nov. 11
The Luverne Elementary School third- and fourth-graders will present “Off Their Rockers,” a celebration of ’50s and ’60s music, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the Luverne Elementary Gym.
 
Hardwick Veterans Day Banquet
A Veterans Day Banquet at the Legion Hall in Hardwick will begin with a Social Hour at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Justin Siebenahler, master sergeant of the Air Force, will speak, and Bruce Dysthe will provide music. The event is sponsored by the Hardwick American Legion.
 
‘Standing Strong
in Rock County’
The 2016 Red Arrow drive is still underway with $23,142 received so far toward the $50,000 goal. Contributions are accepted at Rock County Red Arrow, PO Box 895, Luverne, MN 56156, or drop it off at First Farmers and Merchants Bank.
 
Green Earth Players present ‘Fantasticks’ at Palace
The Green Earth Players are performing the Broadway musical, “The Fantasticks,” at the Palace Theatre in Luverne.  Show times are at 2 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 13 and 20, and at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 19. Tickets are available at the theatre or by calling the box office at 507-283-4439.
 
Library hosts final Lap Time Nov. 16, Story Hour Nov. 17
The final Lap Time of the year will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, for children ages birth-3 with an adult.
The final Story Hour of the year will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, for children ages 4-5.
 
Monthly Food Ministry Nov. 17
The monthly Food Ministry, sponsored by New Life Celebration Church, will be from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Luverne Senior Center. If you’re having trouble putting food on the table, come for fresh produce, bread and meat. Children will be asked to wait outside.
 
Library hosts Harry Potter Trivia and movie Nov. 17 and 18
The Rock County Library will host a Harry Potter Trivia night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Teams must be registered to compete. Call the library at 449-5040. A screening of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. No signup is necessary for the film.
 
SHARE collecting applications from now until  Nov. 28
The Rock County SHARE distribution of groceries, clothing and toys to Rock County residents in need will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Luverne National Guard Armory. Those wishing to receive from the program must apply by Nov. 28.
