Mound Township Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Monday each month at the Rock County Highway Building, Luverne.

No Monthly Food Mission in March
There will be no monthly food giveaway for the month of March.

Rock County spring weight road restrictions in effect
Spring weight road restrictions are in effect on Rock County roadways.
Starting and ending dates are based on how the weather is affecting roadway strength. Ending dates for spring load restrictions are variable, and drivers must check for updates throughout the spring.

Community blood drive scheduled March 14
Community Blood Bank will host a community blood drive in Adrian Monday, March 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Adrian Ambulance Garage.
Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with a signed parent consent form found at www.cbblifeblood.org, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health. Please bring identification. It is recommended donors eath and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood.
 
Rock County Community Library reopens March 14
The Rock County Community Library will reopen to patrons Monday, March 14. Ribbon-cutting for the completed remodeling project will be 5 p.m. Thursday, March 17.
 
Tickets available for Green Earth Players ‘Frog and Toad’
The historic Palace Theatre in Luverne will host the Green Earth Players’ production of “Frog and Toad” the weekends of March 11-13 and 18-20. Box office for season tickets opened Feb. 29. Tickets are available to the general public as of March 1. For tickets call 507-283-4339.
 
Living Rock Church shows ‘War Room’
Living Rock Church, 500 East Main Street, will show the 2015 film, “War Room,” rated PG, at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 12. The public is welcome to attend this free showing.
 
Sign up for Community Ed trips by March 10
Community Education still has seats available for two charter bus trips. 
Sign up for “Beauty and the Beast” Chanhassen Dinner Theatre by March 10.  The actual performance is in April 16. 
Tickets are on sale for the Minnesota Wild vs. Calgary Flames on March 24.  The group will be allowed on the ice for pre-game photos and will have great seats! Call 283-4724 with questions.
 
Defensive driving 8-hour class March 12
The Defensive Driving 8-Hour Class for those 55 and older who want to lower their car insurance premiums is offered from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12. Fee is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Call 507-283-4724 to register.
 
Rock County Area Youth Rally March 16 at ARC
Tom Henderson with Restoration Generation and Happy the Dog Ministries will be the featured guest at a youth rally from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the American Reformed Church in Luverne. All area youth are invited to attend this event sponsored by the Rock County Area Church Youth Leaders.
 
St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 17, Reubens to follow
A parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day will begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, and will travel from Living Rock Church to Freeman Street in Luverne.
Following the parade, CHS will host Harvest for Hunger, a freewill donation meal consisting of corned beef or Reuben sandwiches, at the Eagles Club from 5 p.m. until gone.
 
Blue Mound Figure Skaters perform March 18-19
The Blue Mound Figure Skaters will present their 25th Annual Ice Show at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18, at the Blue Mound Ice Arena in Luverne.
 
Easter egg hunt March 19 in Magnolia Park
The Magnolia Juniors 4-H Club will host an Easter egg hunt with door prizes and animals for children up to 10 years old at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, in the Magnolia park.
 
Donate blood during Red Cross Month
March has been recognized as Red Cross Month by every U.S. President since 1943. Celebrate this month by helping ensure a suffiecient supply of blood this spring.
Donations in Rock County will be accepted on March 30 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 Spicer Street, Jasper, from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
