Children’s Dental Services resume clinics July 30
Children’s Dental Services will resume clinics Thursday, July 30, for ages 0-26 at Rock County Health and Human Services on Roundwind Road in Luverne. Call 612-746-1530 to schedule an appointment or stop by Rock County Health and Human Services for assistance in scheduling.
Exams, x-rays, cleanings and more will be provided. All forms of insurance accepted. Organized by #Luv1LuvAll's Rock County Oral Health Task Force.
 
Bloodmobile in Luverne July 27
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will accept donations by appointment only from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27, at Grand Prairie Events in Luverne.

Senior food distribution set for Aug. 20
A.C.E. of SW Mn-Rock Co. Will offer its Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) age 60 and older, from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in the parking lot at 319 E. Lincoln in Luverne.

New Life Celebration food distribution canceled for July 16 and Aug. 20
Monthly food giveaways at Generations on July 16 and Aug. 20 are canceled due to low numbers of recipients. Call 507-283-4366 or 402-981-5019 with questions.
 
Drive-thru Relay For Life Aug. 20
A drive-through Rock County Relay for Life will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Luverne City Park with a drive-up meal, radio broadcast entertainment and a message from Yvette Van Der Brink. Relay for Life Honorary Chairperson. 
Poster boards (instead of luminary bags) are available for a freewill donation at Salon 75 or First Farmers & Merchants Bank, or people can make their own posters with tag board.
A virtual 5K can be ran or walked anytime August 20-23. Register and get a t-shirt at luvprintexpress.com/relay5k. Survivor names can be sent to luvrockrelay@gmail.com to be put on luminary bags.
 
Blue Mound Fall festival canceled
Blue Mound Lutheran Church Fall Festival that was scheduled for Sept. 20 has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns.
 
History Center opening with limited hours
The Rock County History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday starting June 2. Some safety precautions — with masks and gloves available — will be in place to protect against the spread of coronavirus. The phone number is 507-283-2122.
 
Community Education
The Community Education phone number is 507-283-4724. The office is closed on Fridays. The updated summer brochure has been posted to the Community Education page of the Luverne Schools website.
Registrations will be accepted with payment by mail or by drop box.  Use the waiver/registration form found on page 5 of the brochure.
We will follow state and public health Covid-19 guidelines, which could change at any time.  Continue to watch Facebook and website pages daily for any updates.
Classes that will be offered include:  Preschool Play Dates in the Park, Early Play Ball, July Soccer, August Soccer, Cliff Line Climbing, Science Day Camp, Coffey Contemporary Story Writing Illustrating, Coffey Contemporary Cool Off & Paint, Arts and Crafts, Track, Basketball Skills, Volleyball Skills, Golf, Tennis, Weight Lifting (new class), Sanford Power Camp, Football.
These classes are canceled: Morning Rec, Missoula Children’s Theatre, Olympic Day Camp, Garden Tour, Twins Trip and Music Man Trip.
