Divorce Recovery Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at St. Catherine Centennial Room in Luverne.
Beaver Creek Township’s monthly meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, with the Board of Audit at 8 p.m.
American Legion Post #123 and Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Post home.

Rock County spring weight road restrictions in effect as of Feb. 22
Spring weight road restrictions went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, on Rock County roadways.
For spring load restrictions, starting and ending dates are based on how the weather is affecting roadway strength. These dates are established by monitoring roadway strength as weather conditions change. Ending dates for spring load restrictions are variable, and drivers must check for updates throughout the spring.

Rock County caucuses meet March 1
The DFL caucus in Rock County meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Senior Center in Luverne.
The GOP caucus meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the Luverne Elementary Commons.
 
Relay for Life team kick-off meeting March 3 at Pizza Ranch
Rock County Relay for Life team kick-off meeting will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Luverne Pizza Ranch. This come-and-go informational meeting is for anyone interested in taking part in the Relay for Life event June 10. Bank Nite movie ‘Cinderella’ at Palace March 3
The free Bank Nite movie, Disney’s “Cinderella,” rated PG, will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Palace Theatre in Luverne.
Sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants National Bank and Papik Motors, a free, family-friendly movie is shown on the first Thursday of every month as it was done for “Bank Nite” in the 1930s. A cash prize drawing will follow the movie. Must be present to win.
 
Luverne Middle School music concert will be Thursday, March 3
The Luverne Middle School bands and choirs will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in the high school gym. The concert will feature the 6th grade choir and band as well as the 7th-8th grade choir and band. The choirs are directed by Seana Graber and accompanied by Dolly Talbert, and the band is directed by Richard Owen. The concert is free and open to the public.
 
Rock County Community Library now closed to mid-March
Due to renovations, the Rock County Community Library will be closed until mid-March. The reopening date is pending. Staff will still answer phones at 449-5040, and patrons can still return materials in the drop box. Tax appointments will still meet on Mondays as scheduled, and tax appointments can still be made by calling the library.
Patrons may use their library cards at any of the 24 public Plum Creek Library locations including Edgerton, Pipestone, Worthington and Adrian.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 17, Reubens to follow
A parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day will begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, and will travel from Living Rock Church to Freeman Street in Luverne.
Following the parade, CHS will host Harvest for Hunger, a freewill donation meal consisting of corned beef or Reuben sandwiches, at the Eagles Club from 5 p.m. until gone.
 
FamilyLife “I STILL Do” Marriage Enrichment
Couples are welcome to join FamilyLife from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Living Rock Church in Luverne to affirm the fundamental importance of a strong, healthy, commited marriage in every culture. Couples will have a chance to reaffirm that their marriage matters to both their children and the rest of society. Lunch will be catered by The Bluestem. Cost is $40 per couple.
 
Free tax help available at library
Volunteers through AARP will provide free tax services at the Rock County Community Library in Luverne through April. Call the library, 449-5040, to make an appointment. Appointments are required.
The library is closed this month, but it will be open for tax appointments on Mondays, and people can still call the library to make tax appointments. Evening appointments are also available. Bring Social Security cards to appointments.
The service is free for any private individual with a simple tax format. It’s not for commercial, farming or investment taxes.
