Births
A boy, Kasen Samuel, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long, was born to Derek and Brittney Ryan, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016. He joins two siblings, Beau, 6, and Mollie, 4. Grandparents are Warren and Mary Olson, Hills, and Ken and Diane Ryan, Greeley, Nebraska. Great-grandparents are Fritz and Elaine Foltz, Greeley, and Eleanor Ryan, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Lester and Leora Baustian will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at their farm located at 1370 60th Ave., Luverne, MN 56156. They request no gifts.
A come-and-go bridal shower for Lexy Burmeister, bride-to-be of Ben Aukes, will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Luverne City Park.
