1926 Star: J. Russell Wiggins buys newspaper publishing business

The following appeared in the Rock County Star on February 19, 1926:
 
ROCK COUNTY STAR SOLD LAST TUESDAY
J.P. JENSEN RETIRES FROM PUBLISHING BUSINESS, SELLING TO ASSOCIATE EDITOR, J. RUSSELL WIGGINS
J.P. Jensen, who for the past four and one-half years had edited the Star as joint owner with W.E.E. Greene and for the past three years as sole owner and publisher, sold the equipment and good will of the institution to J. Russell Wiggins, on Tuesday of this week, and will retire from the newspaper business next Saturday, when Mr. Wiggins will be given complete possession.
The plant will be continued in operation in the present quarters, which have been leased from Mr. Jensen.
Status of subscribers will be unchanged by the transfer, subscriptions continuing without interruption, under the new management.
Mr. Wiggins has been connected with the Star for the past four years, acting in the capacity of associate editor during the past year, and prior to that time as advertising manager and reporter.
