Virtual puzzle contest promotes brain health

The Minnesota-North Dakota Alzheimer’s Association is sponsoring a series of online jigsaw puzzle contests that will connect people from around the world.
Called Piece Prize, the 90-minute contests will be Dec. 26, Jan. 15 and Jan. 31.
Register at www.pieceprize.org and select a puzzle for individuals, couples and families. Participants will receive a jigsaw puzzle in the mail, and at the designated date and time, will join others for an hour and a half of fun.
Studies have shown activities like puzzling are important for brain health, which can also help reduce cognitive decline with diseases like Alzheimer’s.
