Greetings from the Tuff Memorial Home.
A pie and ice cream social, quilt raffle, bake sale and crafts sale will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Tuff Memorial Home. Proceeds from the event will go toward the courtyard.
Norma Jean Slegers observed her birthday on July 14. We wish her a very happy birthday and hope she enjoyed her special day.
We would like to welcome two new residents to Tuff. Mary Johnston to Room 3 and Cliff Anderson to Room 27. Marie Walraven was able to return to her home Wednesday after being a resident of Tuff.
Our Red Hatters group met Wednesday and the theme of the program was about aprons.  
A group of ladies from the United Methodist Church of Luverne were our guests Thursday afternoon. The ladies presented a program and provided a delicious lunch of various kinds of cake with ice cream. We would like to express our thanks to the ladies for their visit.
Friday residents enjoyed listening to the story, “Little Yellow Farm House in Iowa.” The book is about the Kroontje family living their daily life on an Iowa farm while World War II was being fought across the oceans.
Saturday afternoon Bruce Dysthe presented a musical program in the dining room. We want to express our thanks to him for being with us.
Etta DeJongh, Marie Walraven, Kathleen Esselink and Norma Jean Slegers along with Activity Director Lou Kellenberger attended a play, “The Church Basement Ladies,” in Brandon, S.D.
Martha Bakken and Evert Van Surksum were able to return after being patients in the hospital.
