Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) hosted a “Pages by the Poolside” event last week in celebration of two milestones. Luverne ECFE is celebrating its 45-year anniversary, having begun in 1979, and April 8-12 was Week of the Young Child. Palisade Lutheran Church celebrates 150 years of worship

Palisade Lutheran Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary Sunday, April 14, at the corner of Minnesota Highway 23 and 121st Street (County Road 5). The Bishop Rev. I was just learning to read when I handed my mom the anniversary card I’d found in a box on her desk. With all the over-dramatic “ohhs and ahhs” one gives a child for doing a good thing, Mom received the card with appreciation and read it silently.
