Rock County golf teams face off in Adrian meet

The Luverne Cardinals and Hills-Beaver Creek boys’ golf teams competed in Adrian on Thursday, May 13.
A total of four teams competed in Adrian, including the two Rock County teams.
The Cardinals took home first place with a score of 170.
The Patriots tied with Adrian/Ellsworth for second place with an overall score of 187.
The Cardinals owned the top of the leaderboard with the Top 3 individual performers all being Cardinals.
Henry Hartquist took home first place with a final score of 40.
Tyler Arends took home second place with a score of 42.
Brady Bork placed third with a score of 43.
Luverne’s Owen Sudenga tied for fifth place with Adrian’s Landyn Loosbrock. Both golfers shot a 45.
H-BC’s Damien Meinerts and Austin Allen both shot a 46 to tie for seventh place.
H-BC’s Ethan Kruger and Luverne’s Colin Schoeneman both shot a 47.
Luverne’s Cooper Arends, H-BC’s Jacob Axness and Dallas Page all shot a 48 to tie for 13th place.
The Luverne golf teams will be back in action on Wednesday, May 19, when they travel to Tyler for the Tyler Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at noon at the Tyler Golf Club.
