Six Rock County dirt track racers competed at local events over the weekend.
Luverne’s Colton Arends placed first in the Stock Car class at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, on Friday to highlight local results.
Two Luverne drivers also raced at 1-90 Speedway in Hartford, South Dakota, on Saturday.

Arends found victory for the first time this season on Friday night.
After winning his heat race, the local driver started and finished the A feature in first place.
Arends placed second last week in the same race at the same track.
Cory Kelderman of Hills led local drivers in the Hobby Stocks class by placing fifth in the A Feature race.
Luverne’s Thomas Kracht finished 19th in the same race.
In the Sportsman’s class, Brandon Boeve of Beaver Creek placed seventh in the A Feature on Friday night.

Kracht finished 14th in the A Feature of the Hobby Stocks class.
Cadyn Wessels of Luverne placed seventh in the B Feature of the same class.
