Luverne girls' cross country team places first in Big South Triangular

The varsity girls’ cross country team for Luverne dominated the Top 10 in Windom on Sept. 29. The Cardinals had six runners place in the Top 10, and all seven runners finished inside the Top 12.
Tenley Nelson crossed the finish line first with a time of 19:53.10. Jenna DeBates finished right behind Nelson in second place with a time of 20:01.10.
Brooklynn Ver Steeg placed fifth with a time of 21:02.10.
Grace Ingebretson placed seventh with a time of 21:11.20, and Regan Feit finished right behind her teammate in eighth place with a time of 21:15.30. Elizabeth Wagner finished in ninth place with a time of 21:21.70.
Kayla Bloemendaal placed 11th for the Cardinals with a time of 22:36.20.
As a team, the girls finished first overall.
Griffen Jarchow continued his recent success for the Cardinal boys’ cross country team with another Top Five finish. Jarchow placed fourth with a time of 18:42.70.
