LHS gymnasts 5-1 in conference, looking toward section meet

Luverne gymnasts traveled to Marshall Thursday, Jan. 26, and beat the Tigers 127.575 to 120.700 in team competition.
The win puts Luverne at a record of 9-6 for the season and 5-1 in the conference.
In the all-around competition Luverne placed three gymnasts in the top four.
Sophomore Ella Reisdorfer placed second with a combined score of 34.375, and classmate Amira Cowell placed third with a 32.175.
Junior Sarah de Cesare placed fourth all-around with a 28.725 combined score.

The Cardinals have three meets left before section competition. They were scheduled to travel to Fairmont Tuesday, Jan. 31, and they’ll host St. James Area Thursday, Feb. 2, and New Ulm Thursday, Feb. 7.
The 2023 Section 3A Tournament will be Saturday, Feb. 18, in Pipestone.
