Good track weather greets LHS tracksters

The Cardinals competed in the Bob Nagle Relays in Pipestone on Tuesday, May 3, in good weather.
In team totals the LHS girls placed first and the LHS boys finished in second.  
Isabella Oye was third in the 100-meter-dash in 13.74 seconds, and Sarah Stegenga was second in the 200-meter-dash  with a time of 28.4. 
Tenley Nelson, Tiana Lais and Ella Schmuck took first, second and third place in the 400-meter-dash with respective times of 1:02.22, 1:04.62 and 1:7.07.
Cassi Chesley was third in the 800-meter-run  with a time of 2:35.6. 
In the 1600-meter-run Jenna DeBates was first at 5:28.06 and Grace Ingebretson third at 6:07.32. 
Ella Schmuck finished second at 12:50.10 and Kayla Bloemendaal third at 13:20.15 in the 3200.
Elizabeth Wagner won the 300-meter-hurdles in 49.67.  
In the 4-by-100 relays, Mia Wenzel, Hailey Como, Reinha John and Anna Banck were second at 54.39.
Tiana Lais, John, Chesley and Nelson finished second in the 4-by-400 at 4:28.09. 
Lais, Elizabeth Wagner, DeBates and Nelson placed first in the 4-by-800 in 9:52.
The shotput winner was Jocelyn Hart with a throw of 36-9, and Jadyn Hart threw 33-3 for a third-place finish.
In the discus Jadyn placed first with a 123-2 throw, and Jocelyn’s toss was 99-02.
High jumper Mia Wenzel took first at 5 feet, and Elizabeth Wagner was third at 4-8. Alexis Hultgren had a second in the pole vault at 7 feet, 6 inches. Kendra Thorson took second in the long jump at 15-1 1/2.
 
Boys’ track
Ashton Sandbulte finished first in the 200-meter-dash in 23.30.
The 4-by-200-relay of Lucky Dara, Zachary Terrio, Eli Radtke and Sandbulte were first in 1: 35.36. 
The 4-by-800 relay of Ryan Fick, Sage Viessman, Camden Janiszeski and Owen Janiszeski took first in 8:45.10. 
Eli Radtke finished first in the pole vault with a height of 11-6, and Noah Mehlfaff was third at 10-6.
Camden Janiszeski finished second in the 800-meter-run with a time of 2:08.03. Owen Janiszeski was second in the 1600 with a time of 4:50.08.  In the 3200, Fick was first at 10:30.59, and Viessman third in 11:09.69. 
Jordan Friedrichsen was second in the shot put with a throw of 44-7 and third in the discus with a toss of 118-08. 
The 4-by-100 relay team of Ethan Rahm, Tyler Rolfs, Coulter Thone and Ashton Hood finished third with a time of 49.04.
The team of Dara, Camden Janiszeski, Rahm and Zachary Terrio finished third in the 4-by-400 in 3:47.17.  Lucky Dara finished third in the 100-meter in 12.06.  Other results follow.
