Ten racecar drivers from the Star Herald coverage area competed at area dirt tracks last weekend.
Kaden Kracht of Steen placed fourth in the Sportsman’s class to lead Rock County racers at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids Frday night.
Thomas Kracht led local drivers at 1-90 Speedway in Hartford, South Dakota, when he finished third in the Hobby Stocks race Saturday night.
Rapid Speedway
Kaden Kracht started the Sportsman’s class feature race in 11th place before working his way up to finishing fourth overall.
Brandon Boeve of Beaver Creek finished eighth in the same race.
The Hobby Stocks class in Rock Rapids included four locals.
Eric Gaul of Luverne finished eighth in the A feature.
Luverne’s Scott Overgaard led local drivers in the Stock Car class when he came in sixth in the A feature race. Spencer Kalass of Luverne placed 10th in the same race.
I-90 Speedway
Luverne’s Thomas Kracht and Cadyn Wessels both competed in the Hobby Stocks class at 1-90 Speedway on Saturday.
Wessels qualified for the A feature race by placing second in the B feature.
Kracht placed third in the A feature and Wessels came in 16th in the same race.
