The Luverne and Hills-Beaver Creek track and field teams traveled to Pipestone for the Bob Nagel Relays Tuesday, May 2.
The Cardinals and Patriots were two of nine teams invited to the event.
In the girls’ team scores, LHS placed first with 191.5 points, and H-BC placed fourth with 66.5 total team points.
In the boys’ team scores, LHS placed first with 194 points, and H-BC placed fifth with 74.5 total team points.
“We did a lot of nice things on Tuesday, despite the windy and cooler conditions,” head coach Pete Janiszeski said.
“The kids are growing and improving each time out, and we’re just very proud of them for all of their hard work and progress.”
H-BC head coach Rex Metzger also mentioned the windy conditions as a factor in the meet, but overall he was pleased with how the Patriots performed.
“We finally saw some good times from our kids,” Rex Metzger said.
