Luverne Redbirds back in action
The Luverne Redbirds caged the Worthington Cubs 10-0 in their season opener Sunday, May 12, at Redbird Field.
The Redbirds piled up nine hits in the game.
Van Dyke named to NSIC All-defensive team
Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) freshman Paris Van Dyke, Luverne, was named to the 2024 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-defensive team.
Three LHS seniors earn recognition at Big South Conference Championship
The Luverne boys’ golf team finished third and the LHS girls’ team placed eighth in the Big South Conference Championship Monday, May 13, at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minnesota.
LHS and H-BC compete in Bob Nangle and Howard Wood Relays
The Cardinals’ and Patriots’ track teams competed in the Bob Nangle Relays Tuesday, April 30, in Pipestone and the Howard Wood Dakota Relays Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, in Sioux Falls.
