TKD Club competes three times

Members of the Luverne Tae Kwon Do Club have kept themselves busy by competing at three events in the past month.

The stretch started with an appearance at the Iowa Governor’s Cup in Ames March 12.

The martial artists also competed at the South Dakota Tae Kwon Do Championships in Tea April 12 and the Brookings, South Dakota, Tae Kwon Do Championships April 16.

Cody Henrichs won the sparring title in the 31-and-over division and placed second in sparring in the 18-31 division in Ames.

Zach Brown, who placed second in forms, claimed a sparring title in Ames as well, as did Jerzey Hood, who placed third in forms.

Perceyis Trierweiler won a forms title in forms and placed second in sparring in Ames.

Jason Aanenson (second in sparring and third in forms), Russell Aanenson (third in forms and sparring) and Liam Brown (third in forms and sparring) also placed in Ames.

Zach and Liam Brown captured forms and sparring championships in Tea.

Henrichs, Hood (third in sparring), Trierweiler (third in sparring) and Zoe Brown (fourth in sparring) landed forms titles in Tea.

Gabe Vis, who placed second in forms at the Tea event, won a sparring title.

Tom Brown (third in forms and sparring), and Nathan Lindsley (fourth in forms and sparring) also competed in Tea.

Hood, who placed third in forms, captured a sparring championship in Brookings.

Trierweiler (second in forms and sparring) and Vis (second in sparring and third in forms) also competed in Brookings.
