Cards trounce Trojans in opener

The Luverne football team opened the season in style Saturday by manhandling Worthington at Cardinal Field.

The game was up for grabs with Luverne sporting a 6-0 advantage after 24 minutes of play.

The Cardinals, however, outscored the Trojans 28-0 in the second half to ice a 34-0 victory.
