Cards fall in overtime Friday

The Luverne Cardinals fell from football’s unbeaten ranks Friday at Cardinal Field.

In a game that featured both Luverne and Maple River putting together impressive scoring runs, an overtime session was needed to settle the issue.

Maple River got the job done in overtime by completing a 20-0 scoring run with a rushing touchdown to post a 27-21 victory over the Cards.
