Patriot girls win 11th conference game
The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team upped its Red Rock Conference record to 11-0 with a 61-47 home win over Mountain Lake Area.
The Patriots strolled to an 18-point lead (33-15) in the first half and prevailed by 14 points at game’s end.
Kenadie Fick (15 points and 10 rebounds), Abby Knobloch (15 points and seven rebounds), Whitney Elbers (12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots) and Taryn Rauk (11 points, three steals) played well for the Patriots.
Southwest Christian girls tops Adrian-Ellsworth
The Adrian-Ellsworth girls’ basketball team lost its second consecutive game when it took a 64-48 setback from Southwest Christian in Edgerton.
The Dragons trailed by two (35-33) after 18 minutes of play before being outscored 29-15 in the second half of a 16-point loss.
Jayden Zebe (12 points and seven rebounds), Ashlyn Meester (10 points and five assists), Bailey Lonneman (eight rebounds and four assists) and Marissa Lehnhoff (seven rebounds and four assists) turned in solid games for A-E.
