Dragons sweep field at home triangular
The Adrian wrestling team upped its record to 7-0 after sweeping the field at the Adrian Triangular.
The Dragons rolled to a 60-9 victory over Fulda-Murray County Central and posted a 46-26 win against Marshall.
Greg Kern, Ryan Elias, Logan Nelson, Logan Rogers, Hunter Heitkamp and Michael Preuss all went 2-0 for the Dragons.
Panther boys fall to Southwest Christian
The Ellsworth boys’ basketball team dropped its seventh consecutive game when it took on Southwest Christian in Edgerton.
Ellsworth played with the Eagles during a first half that ended with SWC sporting a 42-36 lead, but the Eagles outscored EHS 40-22 in the second half to complete an 82-58 win.
Trei Hinrichs (20 points, five rebounds three assists), Malik Herman (17 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots), Jared Leuthold (six assists) and Bobby Walkowaik (three assists) played well for the Panthers.
Flying Dutchmen withstand H-BC’s challenge
A spirited rally went unrewarded then the Hills-Beaver Creek boys’ basketball team took on Edgerton in Edgerton.
H-BC fell behind by 17 points (38-21) in the first half, but the Patriots rallied to outscore the Flying Dutchmen 37-29 before falling 67-58 at game’s end.
Cooper Vaughn (14 points and three steals), Jed Burgers (11 points), Stuart Plimpton (10 points) Trenton Bass (five rebounds and three steals) and Drew Forshey (three steals) turned in productive nights for H-BC.
