Patriot girls win big in Adrian

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team ended play in 2016 by posting a 71-51 victory in Adrian.

The Patriots outscored the Dragons 34-26 in the first half and used a 37-25 scoring advantage in the second half to complete a 20-point conquest.

Sidney Fick (19 points, four steals and three assists), Grace Bundesen (17 points), Avery Van Roekel (17 points and five assists) Kourtney Rozeboom (13 points) and Jasmine Lingen (three steals and three assists) played key roles in the win for H-BC.

Hannah Bullerman (19 points), Miah Kunkel (12 points, six rebounds and three steals), Paige Bullerman (nine rebounds) and Moriah Bullerman (five rebounds) played well for the Dragons.

 

Southwest Christian runs away from EHS

The Ellsworth girls’ basketball team wrapped up its 2016 schedule by dropping an 86-27 home decision to Southwest Christian.

The visiting E-Gals coasted to a 43-13 halftime advantage and outscored the Panthers 43-14 in the second half to prevail by 59 points.

Ashlyn Meester tossed in 11 points for the 1-6 Panthers.
