Adrian girls rally past Raiders

The Adrian girls’ basketball team notched its third win of the season by securing a 47-45 victory in Fulda.

Adrian faced a 29-20 victory at halftime, but the Dragons rallied to outscore the Raiders 27-16 in the second half to prevail by two points.

Paige Bullerman (12 points and 14 rebounds), Moriah Bullerman (five rebounds and four assists), Avery Balster (five rebounds and four assists), Lexi Slater (11 rebounds) and Kaitlyn Christians (three assists) played well in victory for AHS.


Patriots roll to home win over Ellsworth

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball notched its fourth consecutive win by upending Ellsworth 69-31 in Hills.

The Patriots opened a 37-13 halftime lead and outscored the Panthers 32-18 in the second half to complete a 38-point conquest.

Sidney Fick (21 points and six rebounds), Grace Bundesen (14 points and six rebounds), Kourtney Rozeboom (12 points and five rebounds), Abby Knobloch (four steals) and Paige Tilstra (three assists) played well for H-BC.

Ashlyn Meester turned in a 10-point, five-rebounds effort for the Panthers, who received six rebounds from Devin Dreesen.


Lancers stroll to big win over AHS

The Adrian wrestling team’s recorded dipped to 1-3 for the season after dropping a 62-8 home match to Canby.

The Lancers drew two forfeits and won 10 of the 12 matches staged on the mat during their 54-point victory.

Adrian received major decisions from Logan Taylor (11-1 over Tanner Drietz) and Isaac Bullerman (14-3 over Lincoln Fink).


Eagles overwhelm Ellsworth’s boys

The Southwest Christian boys’ basketball team coasted to a 79-28 home win over Ellsworth.

The Eagles led 39-18 after 18 minutes of play and used a 40-10 scoring cushion in the second half to complete a 51-point conquest.

Brandon Kramer (nine points and five rebounds), Carter Boyenga (seven rebounds), Zach Buntjer (five rebounds) and Sean Boltjes (three steals) led EHS statistically.
