Kramer reaches milestone in EHS loss

The Ellsworth boys dropped their fifth consecutive basketball game when they entertained the Southwest Christian Eagles Friday in Ellsworth.

SWC turned in a commanding effort that included the Eagles outscoring WHS by wide margins in both halves of the game.

The Eagles led by 19 points (53-34) after 18 minutes of play before outscoring the Panthers 44-24 in the second half.

EHS senior Brandon Kramer reached a milestone for his career during a 23-point, 10-rebound, three-blocked shot effort.

Kramer needed 22 points to reach 1,000 for his career entering the game. He surpassed the 1,000-point mark when he converted a three-point play with six minutes left in the game.

Noah Kruse netted 15 points and Anthony Lenz pulled down seven rebounds for the 2-13 Panthers, who host Heron Lake-Okabena Tuesday.
