AA loses home game in Slayton

A change of venues allowed the Adrian Area softball team to play a Red Rock Conference game against Murray County Central Monday.
The game was scheduled to be staged in Ellsworth, but wet grounds forced the contest to be moved to Slayton.
AA still played as the home team, but that didn’t matter to the Rebels.
MCC never trailed in the contest and posted a 13-3, five-inning win at game’s end.
The Rebels plated three runs in the top of the first before the Dragons made it a 3-1 game in the bottom of the second.
MCC bounced back to score 10 runs in the next two innings before AA capped the scoring with a two-run rally in the seventh.
Devin Dreesen, who was saddled with the pitching loss, registered one hit for the 2-16 Dragons.
Jodi Bents slapped two hits and drove in one run, while Brooke Grussing and Madison Neuenberg chipped in one hit each.
