Adrian sophomore Scot Edwards won his first match at the state wrestling tournament before falling twice to end the event without placing.

Edwards, Taylor compete at state

A pair of Adrian High School sophomores wrapped up their seasons at the Minnesota State Class A Wrestling Championships in St. Paul Friday and Saturday.

Adrian’s Scot Edwards and Logan Taylor posted a combined 1-3 record without placing in their respective weight classes.

Edwards, who captured the Section 3A title at heavyweight, went 1-2 at the event.
