Adrian golfers dominate home triangular

The Adrian Dragon golf teams ruled the roost during a triangular in Adrian Thursday.
The AHS girls turned in a 187-stroke effort to best Heron Lake-Okabena (229) and Southwest Christian (277) during the event.
Katie Wieneke fired a 43 to capture medalist honors for AHS.
Mackenzie Wagner, Jada Elias and Alexia Kemper contributed 47-, 48- and 49-stroke rounds to the team tally.
Madelyn Odell (53) and Courtney Penning (68) played without impacting the scoring.
Kailey Wendland led HL-O with a 48, while Riley Mohlenkamp paced SWC with a 57.
A medal-earning round of 37 strokes by Ben Henning led the Dragon boys to a 163-stroke tally.
SWC (205) and HL-O (227) capped the field.
Collin Kemper registered a 40 and Ryan Elias and Tommy McCarthy capped the team scoring for AHS with 43s.
Brady Henning and Mitchell Veld shot 46- and 47-stroke rounds without impacting the scoring.
Jay DeBoer led SWC with a 45, while Hunter Timko paced HL-O with a 51.
