The Luverne Redbirds continued their winning ways with a 5-2 road victory over the Adrian A’s on June 3.
The Redbirds have now won six straight games to move their overall record to 6-1 on the season.
Codie Zeutenhorst pitched eight innings for Luverne striking out eight Adrian batters and allowing two runs.
Skyler Wenninger pitched the ninth inning and earned three strikeouts to get the save for the Redbirds.
At the plate Zeutenhorst was three for five in the contest with two runs batted in.
Gunnar Olson also had three hits for Luverne from four plate appearances and scored a run.
Logan Norman connected for two hits in the contest and scored two runs for the winners.
Joey Slieter and Wenninger each contributed two hits for the Redbirds and Tony Sandbulte batted in two runners.
The Redbirds were scheduled to host Tracy Wednesday, June 10, and will travel to Windom Sunday.
