Dispatch report
Sept. 4
•Deputy cited subject for no driver’s license.
•Complainant reported that subject was bringing her husband to the ER in Luverne and was traveling over the speed limit. They requested that the hospital let deputies know.
•Complainant reported three large round hay bales on the road blocking traffic. Deputy got there as owner was cleaning up. Wheel had fallen off the trailer.
•Complainant brought in two chairs that are to go to the airport.
•Complainant reported manure in Mudd Creek south of Hills. No action needed at this time.
•Complainant reported a pickup with a four-wheeler in the back pulling a trailer with a  skid loader is swerving so much that complainant can’t pass it. Vehicles are on County Rd. 3 at County Rd. 8.
•Dispatcher received an abandoned 911 call. Sent deputy to check on subjects.
Sept. 5
•Deputy stopped vehicle and cited driver for careless driving. Vehicle was released to another driver.
•Complainant reported a suspicious black male with bloodshot eyes has been at the post office standing on the corner for some time. Complainant requested a deputy check on him. Man was gone upon arrival.
•Complainant reported someone wrote derogatory comments on her car with window markers sometime last night. Vehicle was parked at her residence.
•Complainant reported several carbon monoxide detectors have beeped in residence rooms and in community room. Requested the fire department check it out.
•Complainant reported she is getting threatening messages from subject via Facebook.
•Complainant reported his son was out running today and lost one of his hearing aids. It is brown and pink.
•Complainant reported someone has a naked picture of her and is demanding money.
Sept. 6
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and took him to jail.
•Complainant requested assistance with a vehicle at the state park.
•Complainant received two calls of a vehicle swerving by the high school on Hwy. 75.
•Dispatcher received a call from a 911 only phone. Sent deputy to speak with resident and her daughter admitted to dialing 911. Deputy spoke to them about the proper use of 911.
•Complainant pocket dialed 911 and was talking with another person. It happened a second time and advised he did not have an emergency.
•Complainant reported some activity at a house that has been vacant for some time. Complainant requested we have someone check it.
•Complainant reported loud music on E. Fairway Drive.
Sept. 7
•Complainant reported someone was passed out in a back yard. Person was taken home by his wife.
•Complainant reported he is having child custody issues.
•Complainant reported her boss threatened her and kicked her vehicle.
•Complainant reported someone constructed a monument for a dog and it’s in the ditch. They contacted someone from the township so they know it’s there when they go out to plow in the winter.
•Complainant reported problems with a family situation.
•State Patrol requested assistance on I-90 in the Adrian area with an intoxicated individual.
•Complainant requested a deputy be present for a patient that is at the hospital.
Sept. 8
•Complainant reported issues between mother and daughter.
•Complainant reported a mother is driving around with three kids, ages three and under, and not using car seats. Will contact Family Services.
•Pipestone County requested we check for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run in Pipestone. They need driver info, insurance and a statement.
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and took him to jail for second degree DWI.
•Complainant reported kids on the roof of the grade school.
Sept. 9
•Complainant reported that 41st Street will be blocked while they load the train. Notified Hills and Luverne buses.
•Complainant reported the crossing arms were stuck down on 20th Ave. and County Rd. 4 by Manley. Someone from the railroad is on the way out to fix them. Will call back when it’s done.
•Complainant reported her ex took her vehicle a year ago and it’s still in her name and she wants it gone. Deputy spoke with her and gave her options.
•Complainant reported a light on inside a building and they thought it looked suspicious. Sent deputy who reported everything was fine.
Sept. 10
•Reserved for narcotic laws.
•Reserved for Emergency Rescue Unity call out in Spencer, Iowa.
•Complainant reported they just saw a Sanford ambulance inching along on I-90. Contacted hospital and they were not expecting anyone. Turned out to be a Worthington ambulance and everything was OK.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject. Located subject and all is well.
•Complainant reported there were semis hauling silage west of Magnolia and there was silage flying everywhere and it’s a hazard to vehicles. No tarps are on the semis.
•Deputy requested a tow for a 1994 Geo Metro that has been parked on the road and has an expired registration.
•Complainant reported they were driving by the airport and they heard three shots and saw a four-wheeler take off. Complainant believes they were hunting geese and would like to have them reminded that it is a federal offense to hunt on airport property. Deputy spoke with the hunter who said he was on private land and not on airport property.
 
In addition, officers responded to 2 motor vehicle accidents, 2 deer accidents, 2 funeral escorts, 21 ambulance runs, 1 parking violation, 1 paper service, 3 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 2 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 3 drug court tests, and issued 3 purchase/carry permits and 4 burn permits.
