Nov. 27
•Complainant reported a motion alarm at a business in Rock County. Audible alarm inside but no signs of forced entry. Manager will contact employee to shut off alarm.
•Complainant reported a fire hydrant leaking at East Mead Court. Called the city.
•Dispatcher received a 911 only cell call with a child playing on the phone. Parents did not realize old phones can still call 911.
•Complainant turned in a purse found on Highway 75, three miles south of Luverne. It had been run over and there was a hole in it. Owner was located.
•Complainant reported vandalism to two vehicles on West Luverne Street.
Nov. 28
•Deputy stopped vehicle and cited driver for no Minnesota driver’s license and no seatbelt. Also cited passenger for no seatbelt. G&S towed the vehicle.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call and woman said there wasn’t an emergency. Her grandson dialed 911. Grandson was advised not to do so unless there is an emergency.
•Complainant reported a female is harassing him via phone and text. She also hacked his emails.
•Complainant reported someone stole her phone while she was shopping. Deputy advised the person that took it returned it to the owner.
•Complainant reported someone throwing eggs off a bridge onto cars on I-90.
Nov. 29
•Deputy stopped vehicle and cited subject for underage consumption.
•Complainant reported a domestic that got physical.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject who was sent home sick on Friday and he did not show up for work all weekend. Deputy went to subject’s residence in Hardwick but did not make contact. Neighbor had seen him recently.
•Complainant reported she attempted to take money from the ATM and the transaction went through but money did not come out. She was advised to contact the bank on Monday.
•Complainant reported a pickup pulling a trailer with no taillights. Complainant could not see the color of the vehicle or the plate.
•Complainant requested a deputy assist with a patient who is getting violent.
Nov. 30
•Complainant reported someone called her saying he was from Pampers and asking questions. He seemed really interested in the 4-year-olds. She contacted another day care provider and she got the same call.
•Complainant turned himself in on two Rock County warrants. He paid a cash bond and was given a court date to appear.
•Complainant reported that her neighbors just got into a car and drove off. Complainant was told that they weren’t doing anything illegal and we will not harass people so she shouldn’t keep calling in.
•Complainant reported they are traveling with a 2-year-old, and his wife is eight months pregnant and they need a room for the night. Helped through Salvation Army.
•Complainant reported that someone called her and took money for her Microsoft issues. This is a scam and she was told to call her bank and credit card company.
•Complainant reported someone called saying they were from Microsoft and she needed to give them remote access to her computer and she did. This is a scam.
Dec. 1
•Complainant reported a vehicle parked in the street and the city has declared a snow emergency.
•Complainant reported that a man keeps walking into the ladies’ room at the Mary Jane Brown Home. Dispatch called staff there to take care of it.
•Complainant requested information about getting her things back from her ex-boyfriend.
•Luverne Fire Department requested an ICR for training.
Dec. 2
•Complainant reported his trailer was on fire on I-90 westbound, mm 20. Paged Magnolia Fire Department twice with no response. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported that subject violated her probation and needs to be taken to jail. Subject was in Jackson County and they took her to Nobles for us.
•Complainant reported a smoking vehicle on South Broadway in Magnolia. Paged Magnolia Fire Department. After no answer, paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported a hit-and-run accident in the gravel lot on North Spring St. Subject hit another vehicle and left the scene.
•Deputy stopped a vehicle and driver was revoked. G&S towed the vehicle.
Dec. 3
•Complainant reported a red Monte Carlo with Minnesota plates tailgating and driving erratically. Complainant wants the driver ticketed and he’s willing to sign a complaint. Passed information on to Pipestone County since the violation occurred there.
•Complainant reported his sister broke into his garage and stole some things.
•Complainant reported a white pickup truck went through the flags at the school and headed north on Highway 75. Complainant will come and fill out a statement.
•Complainant reported he is receiving death threats from subject.
In addition, officers responded to 1 motor vehicle accident, 5 vehicles in ditch, 5 deer accidents, 1 transport, 3 funeral escorts, 22 ambulance runs, 1 paper service, 1 animal complaint, 3 false alarms, 1 fingerprint request, 7 log/alarm sheets, 8 drug court tests, and issued 10 purchase/carry permits.
