Dispatch report
Jan. 8
•Complainant reported she has been arguing with subject and wants to leave with kids. Verbal only. Subject may be intoxicated. Deputy transported two male parties to another location and advised them not to return to residence.
•Complainant reported they had a flat tire and could not get it off. Advised they may leave it parked along the curb at location. Also gave G & S phone number.
•Complainant reported that he was receiving phone calls from someone who says they are with the IRS and they are suing half of Luverne. Told complainant it was a scam and to just not answer or hang up on them.
•Deputy arrested subject on a warrant out of Nobles County. She bonded out.
•Complainant reported a burgundy pickup with Minnesota plates sliding while turning corners and driving unsafe. Pickup occupied by some teenagers.
•Complainant reported a vehicle hit another vehicle then slid into the ditch on I-90 exit 18. Pipestone County was going to notify state patrol. Deputy handled the call. Adrian auto towed vehicle. Subject transported to Nobles County jail for DWI.
Jan. 9
•Complainant reported the 2016 tabs were stolen off of one of their delivery vehicle license plates.
•Complainant reported he has had trouble with subject and would like to speak to a deputy about most recent where a refund from Amazon was issued to this other person, and he said it’s his money.
Jan. 10
•Complainant reported what she thought was an abnormal amount of smoke coming from the ethanol plant. Didn’t look like black smoke. Deputy reported everything appears to be OK.
•Complainant reported a patient with a dislocated shoulder parked his semi at location and came to emergency room. Truck moved to 131st Street north of the hospital. A driver will come get it in the next few hours.
•Complainant requested to speak with a deputy about rules for a party bus.
•Deputy served warrant on subject and transported him to jail.
Jan. 11
•Complainant requested a residence check for a couple of months.
•Complainant requested to speak with the sheriff about a family/child issue.
•Complainant reported pieces of wood on I-90 somewhere between Magnolia and Luverne. Notified Minnesota Department of Transportation.
•Dispatcher received delayed hit notification on stolen plate. Ran vehicle. It has been impounded by patrol. Forwarded information to patrol.
Jan. 12
•Complainant requested to speak with a deputy about an employee.
•Complainant reported a missing male with Down syndrome who walked away while she was using the restroom. He was dressed for the weather. Someone flagged down a deputy and said they found him.
•Complainant reported erratic driving behavior by a semi at location. Transferred to patrol.
Jan. 13
•Deputy spotted vehicle running parked in middle of the road at location.
•Reserved for service of vehicle.
•Complainant reported she was backing out of her driveway and two vehicles went past at probably 70 miles per hour. Both vehicles were cars. One was royal blue. Complainant reported by the time she got backed out, the cars were nowhere to be seen. Complainant requested extra patrol after school.
•Deputy arrested subject and took him to jail on a probation violation for drinking.
•Complainant reported a domestic situation between a mother and daughter. Daughter was taken to the emergency room to be evaluated.
•Complainant reported three to four snowmobiles south of the North Freeman Avenue location making a lot of noise.
•Complainant reported snowmobilers making a lot of noise around Damax Apartments.
Jan. 14
•Deputy was patrolling school zone and reported the digital speed signs with 25 miles per hour were not on.
•Complainant reported a driving complaint on I-90. Transferred to state patrol.
•Complainant reported her ex is at her front door knocking and making threats. Deputy advised male was returning property. There is a restraining order in place and male was advised not to return to the property.
•Complainant reported he saw a fire at location. He doesn’t know if it’s controlled or not. According to where he advised it was, it would be Nobles County. They have not received any calls. Our deputy advised it is in Nobles County. Subject is burning tractor tires. Nobles County was informed and will send a deputy.
•Reserved for school zone patrol.
•Complainant reported a person with suicidal thoughts. Would like to speak with a deputy.
•Reserved for narcotic information.
•Complainant reported they were out for training.
In addition, officers responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents, 20 vehicles in ditch, 4 stalled vehicles, 3 traffic stops, 1 transport, 1 funeral escort, 22 ambulance runs, 3 parking violations, 3 paper services, 3 animal complaints, 3 false alarms, 3 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 6 drug court tests, and issued 13 purchase/carry permits and 26 burn permits.
