Feb. 19
•Dispatch received a 911 call with static on the line. Got hold of owner and he said it was his fax machine number and it wasn’t working.
•Minnehaha County requested assistance with trying to serve a warrant in Rock County.
•Complainant reported a family and child issue.
•Complainant reported a family and child issue.
•Complainant reported a family and child issue.
•Complainant reported there was a city trash can tipped over on the 200 block of East Main Street.
•Dispatch received a 911 call from phone at location. No answer on callback. Contacted resident at location. Had same issue earlier. Fax machine is not working and is apparently dialing 911 at times.
Feb. 20
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and took him to jail. Called G&S to tow. Passenger was given a ride home.
•Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. Took both parties to jail.
•Complainant reported the railroad stop arm at location is malfunctioning. Contacted BNSF. They will get someone out.
•Complainant reported four wheelers driving around location tearing up road at 140th Avenue and 211th Street.
Feb. 21
•Complainant reported a white vehicle with Iowa plates has been parked in the parking lot for at least three days, maybe longer. Complainant wants to make sure everything is OK. Deputy advised everything is okay. Complainant advised if they want it moved they can call a tow.
•Complainant reported subject made a comment on her sister-in-law’s Facebook page in violation of her restraining order.
•Dispatch received multiple 911 calls from 911 phone at location. Sounded like pocket dials. Contacted manager at location and checked status. She reported all is OK and would ask employees to check phone.
•Complainant reported that subject is driving around the Beaver Creek area and is drunk.
•Deputies conducted search warrant.
Feb. 22
•Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of Beaver Creek.
•Complainant requested to speak with a deputy about her child.
•Complainant requested a deputy be present at a hearing.
•Complainant reported that he had tried to call the Highway Department, but they were not returning his call. He was upset that there was a soft spot on the road near the new bridge, and if people went too fast they would ruin the bottom of their car. Wanted a sign put up. Dispatch spoke with highway engineer and he will look at it and consider the sign.
•Complainant reported that a man always parks on his property to hide from his wife. He requested a deputy come and speak with him. Complainant was told that he could have the vehicle towed. Owner showed up and paid the tow bill and was told that he cannot park there again or will be charged with trespassing.
•Complainant requested a deputy come to their home. They found some things from the previous owner.
•Complainant reported her neighbor is playing loud music. Deputy went and knocked on the door several times, but there was no answer and no music playing that time.
•Complainant reported she is being harassed.
Feb. 23
•Deputy reported he was bringing an item from a vehicle involved in an accident to the courthouse for subject.
•Reserved for warrant entry for state patrol.
•Complainant requested a deputy to come to the senior citizens building. They had a cabinet on the east side of the building that must have been hit by a car. Possibly happened about three days ago by a U-Haul from the Blue Mound Towers.
•Complainant requested a residence check for three weeks.
•Complainant reported that her ex notified her that he was going to be requesting her to come in and get drug tested. He would pay for the bill. She said she was not notified of a time, but is willing to do it if that is what he wants. Dispatch did not have any record of this. She wanted it recorded that she did call in to see when she was supposed to come.
•Deputies arrested subject on a Rock County warrant and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported his feed truck is on fire and it is going to be hard to get to it. Roads are very soft. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
Feb. 24
•Complainant requested we deliver an emergency message to subject. Deputy stopped a few times, but no one was around. Notified complainant.
•Complainant requested a deputy present at location while he picks up his personal items.
•Complainant wanted to speak to a deputy about a possible stalker in a red or maroon four-door pickup.
Feb. 25
•Deputy reported the North 25 MPH sign is not working in the school zone.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject who is at the motel. Sent deputies to check. Subject was taken to the emergency room.
In addition, officers responded to 8 motor vehicle accidents, 6 vehicles in ditch, 1 transport, 3 funeral escorts, 17 traffic stops, 14 ambulance runs, 2 paper services, 3 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 2 driver’s license checks, 7 log/alarm sheets, 1 drug court test, 4 money escorts, and issued 12 purchase/carry permits and 17 burn permits.
