Dec. 4
•Complainant reported there are five drunk people leaving the bar on South Kniss.
•Complainant reported four guys in the parking lot of bar on South Kniss. Complainant is unsure if they are fighting or messing around. Deputy checked and reported the guys were walking back to the motel and leaving their vehicle at the bar.
•Complainant reported two guys in the parking lot of the motel lying on the ground and fighting. Deputy arrested one adult male and took him to jail.
•City crew requested traffic control at North Kniss and West Dodge while they take a tree down.
•Complainant from Hills reported he got a call from someone for a debt reduction offer. This is a scam.
•Complainant reported a semitrailer parked on West Warren Street.
•Complainant reported that he has spoken to a few snowmobile riders riding along the railroad tracks and notified them that they can’t be doing that, per Minnesota Southern’s insurance. It’s mostly happening from Walnut to Freeman. Complainant requested a deputy talk with them about this.
•Deputy was sent to a vehicle in the ditch on 221st Street and arrested subject for DWI and took him to jail.
Dec. 5
•Deputy arrested a female on a warrant out of Cottonwood County. Contacted Erwin’s to tow vehicle. Subject posted bail and was given a court date and released.
•Complainant reported someone stole a Christmas light from their yard.
•Complainant reported someone stole a Christmas light from their yard also.
•Complainant reported the owner of the building next to hers is vandalizing her property.
•Complainant reported kids have been throwing snowballs at her car and house for about an hour.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on a resident who is making loud noises and  howling.
Dec. 6
•Reserved for ERU callout for warrant service.
Dec. 7
•Complainant reported subject is making a lot of loud funny noises.
•Complainant reported a white SUV in the bus zone at the school that has been there since yesterday. The vehicle has dealer plates. Deputy had the vehicle towed by G&S.
•Glen’s Food and Gas reported a drive-off that occurred last night. Cost of gas was $33.77.
•South Dakota Game Fish and Parks requested a DNA sample from subject pursuant to a search warrant.
•Complainant reported she was scammed and gave out all of her personal information to this company. Filed an identity theft report.
•Complainant reported a vehicle dragging their emergency brake down the road and kicking up sparks on I-90 eastbound at MM 6.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on her father,  who is sending strange texts.
Dec. 8
•Complainant reported she believes she may be taken advantage of. Complainant makes payments to a company with a money order and three times they claim they have not received it and sent a person over to collect cash directly from complainant. Also contacted Family Services.
•Complainant reported four vehicles on the off ramp on I-90 westbound, Exit 6, one with lights off and not quite on the shoulder.
Dec. 9
•Deputy arrested subject for probation violation. He was taken to jail.
•Complainant reported that this weekend the neighbor’s dog, a red Irish setter, came out of the house and ran toward her granddaughter as if it was going to attack her. Complainant let her dog out and the setter chased it instead. There have been many complaints about this dog in Steen.
•Complainant reported he owns the alfalfa field by the soccer fields and would like deputies to stop the snowmobilers from going on his property.
•Local business brought in several checks that were forged.
•Complainant reported a white extended cab pickup served on Donaldson Street and just about hit his granddaughter.
•Complainant reported a black or dark green small Toyota went through the crossing guard stop sign on West Dodge. They headed north on Kniss Ave.
ªComplainant requested a deputy be present for child exchange. Subject is making threats to her.
•Deputy cited driver for careless driving and did a PBT test on driver.
•Deputy reported people at the Interpretive Center that did not have a park sticker.
Dec. 10
•Complainant reported her son lost his wallet. It is a brown fossil bi-fold with a zipper.
•Complainant reported two items were stolen between last night and this afternoon. One was a large mailbox on a post and the other a blue plastic tote with newspaper written on it.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject.
•Complainant dropped off some personal property that belongs to a client. It was placed in the sheriff’s office.
•Reserved for narcotic information.

Complainant reported cars parked in a no parking zone on a one-way street at the school.
•Complainant requested a deputy for an uncooperative patient.
Complainant reported they were advised to call the sheriff’s office about a problem at a business.
In addition, officers responded to 3 motor vehicle accidents, 4 deer accidents, 1 transport, 12 ambulance runs, 3 paper services, 4 animal complaints, 1 fingerprint request, 7 log/alarm sheets, 6 drug court tests, and issued 26 purchase/carry permits and 2 burn permits.
