Dispatch report
Dec. 18
•Complainant reported she was sitting in her apartment watching a movie and someone threw a brick through her window. She ran out the front and left. Deputy reported victim is unwilling to file any charges and is being uncooperative.
•Complainant reported that someone drove on their yard and started taking pictures. Her husband asked what he was doing and he said they should’ve gotten a letter from a bank saying he would be there. They did not receive a letter and wanted to know what could be done about it. They were told to call their bank and insurance company.
•Jackson County arrested subject on a Rock County warrant. Subject was taken to the Noble County jail.
•Complainant reported subject put a GPS in her car. Deputy reported there is no GPS; it’s part of the car.
•Complainant reported subject is blackmailing complainant and not giving items back that complainant’s fiancé gave to complainant’s daughter to keep at complainant’s home.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call from Magnolia. Busy on callback. Subject answered finally and said she was having trouble with her phone. Everything is OK.
Dec. 19
•Complainant reported when they went back to the garage, a guy ducked down in his car, as if he were trying to hide from them. Deputy went and spoke with the guy.
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI in Steen. Subject was taken to jail.
•Complainant reported man was at a house on East Warren and there is a warrant out for him.
•Deputy arrested subject on a warrant out of Carver County and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported he swerved to miss something running in the road and he hit a mailbox in Beaver Creek.
•Complainant requested a deputy to help with her neighbor who is drunk and yelling at her. He just got out of jail today and is to abstain from any use of drugs and alcohol.
Dec. 20
•Complainant reported a white car on County Road 6 south side of I-90 all over the road, going way too fast. Complainant is afraid they went into the ditch with the slick roads, but they are unable to stop.
•Complainant reported someone tried to break into his house last night. Complainant believes it was his ex.
•Complainant reported vandalism to a fence.
•Complainant reported a cinder block lying in the road at Dodge and Kniss.
•Complainant reported a white van stopped as she was walking home from work and now she is frightened.
Dec. 21
•Complainant reported that a newer red Impala with an older woman driving blew through the crossing guard’s sign at Barck and Hwy. 75. If the child hadn’t run across the street, the woman would’ve hit him.
*Complainant requested help with child. Brought child to sheriff’s department and contacted Southwest Health and Human Services for a social worker.
•Complainant reported her carbon Monoxide detector is going off. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
Dec. 22
•Complainant reported they lost electricity in their building. Notified city electric department.
•Complainant reported they pinged the phone of a suicidal individual and it appears he’s in Luverne. They called back a half hour later and said we could disregard. They located him.
•Complainant reported that his vehicle is parked on East Crawford and someone vandalized it.
•Complainant reported that he drove by a vehicle that was sitting on the road and running but didn’t appear to have anyone in it or around the vehicle. It’s on 101st Street, a couple of miles west of the vet clinic.
Dec. 23
•Complainant reported he has been receiving harassing text messages.
•Complainant requested lift assistance for a man who fell out of his wheelchair.
•Complainant requested a building escort to move a house.
•Complainant turned herself in on a warrant out of Martin County. Complainant paid the bond and was released.
Dec. 24
•Deputy stopped vehicle and cited driver for no Minnesota driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Vehicle was towed by Erwin’s.
•Complainant reported an alarm at a business. Contacted keyholder and sent deputy.
•Complainant reported his neighbor was doing some digging and did some on his property. He was told to take pictures and document it and if the neighbor comes on his property again to call while he’s there. Civil matter.
•Complainant reported a criminal sexual abuse.
•Complainant requested a residence check for a week.
•Complainant reported subject abandoned some property in Hills and there’s letters from the bank posted all over the outside of the house. Someone is trying to get in through the windows and doors. Sent deputy.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on her daughter.
•Deputy arrested subject for a DWI and took him to jail.
 
In addition, officers responded to 3 motor vehicle accidents, 2 deer accidents, 4 funeral escorts, 17 ambulance runs, 5 paper services, 2 fingerprint requests, 2 driver’s license checks, 7 log/alarm sheets, 5 drug court tests, and issued 24 purchase/carry permits and 2 burn permits.
